These workshops are generously funded by the Town of New Shoreham and the William C. Young Family Foundation Mini-Grant Program. Classes are first come first served and you may be waitlisted. The workshops are free to the public and include materials, notions, and sewing machines. Each date is a separate, standalone class, no ongoing commitment required.
Community Sewing: Mondays 4-6pm 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23
Adult Beginners: PJ’s 10-12pm 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/21
Adult Beginner to Advanced Sewing Quilted Pillow: 10-1pm 2/8, 2/15

COMMUNITY SEWING
Got sewing basics? Bring your works-in-progress and enjoy an open studio session where you can practice with paper, tackle personal projects, and get hands on help for troubleshooting and skill-building. Finally finish those WIPs in a fun, supportive space! Every Monday from 4-6pm 1/12 until 2/23.
ADULT BEGINNER SEWING: PAJAMAS
This is a hands-on workshop for adult beginners or anyone in need of a refresher to build confidence with the sewing machine and serger while you create a cozy pair of elastic-waist pajama bottoms. Learn the basics, sharpen your skills, and enjoy a relaxed, rewarding sewing experience from start to finish. 10-12pm 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/21
YOUTH BEGINNER SEWING AGES 9-12
These classes, aimed at participants aged 9-12, teach students the fundamentals of sewing. They will learn to correctly thread and use a sewing machine, basic sewing techniques, terminology, hand and machine stitching, and complete an introductory project. By the end of the course, students will have a strong grasp of sewing basics and the confidence to tackle simple projects independently. 1-3pm 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21
