Traveling Seamstress- No project too big, too small, or too weird!
Hi! I’m Elizabeth and I am here to help you with your clothing repairs and your custom project designs. I’ve been a life long sewist who first learned how to sew from my grandmother and great-grandmother and learned garment construction, making homecoming and prom dresses, from a family friend. In 2006 I received a BFA in Fibers and Mixed Media from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
Traveling Seamstress began in 2013 during my first summer on Block Island where in between jobs, I traveled from home to home on the tiny island, helping clients with their clothing alteration and repair needs. The brick and mortar shop opened in 2017 expanding services to include handmade and hand-dyed goods making the location a one stop for clothing alterations, custom projects for home or boat, handmade and upcycled goods.
